The fast-paced world of hardware development is changing. The growing complexity of integrating hardware and software, combined with skill shortages and increasing demand, has led many teams to struggle under traditional development approaches. In this talk, we will explore why these traditional methods are failing and how embracing Agile practices in established PEP is both a painful but necessary evolution for hardware teams to retain talent, expose project risks, and build high-quality products.
Key Learnings in this session:
Konrad Swistelnicki has been working with large enterprises for over 15 years across Germany, Poland, USA and other countries worldwide. His career trajectory has evolved from a software developer to a well-recognized Agile Coach, Trainer, and Consultant. Currently based in Germany, Konrad boasts an excellent track record for leading teams and organizations through evolutionary change toward the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). Konrad's career is highlighted by an excellent track record in leading business agility implementations, reinforced by his extensive international experience in Agile methodologies. His effectiveness in Scaling Agile practices and guiding organizations to efficiently deliver high-quality software has earned him recognition as an SPCT Candidate - evidence to his depth of experience and commitment to excellence. This acknowledgement further strengthens his status as a successful leader and innovator in the field.
Pop up in my job:
Konrad finds joy in overseeing the implementation of agile practices within organizations, leading to increased efficiency. His greatest satisfaction stems from fostering alignment, transparency, and collaboration, all while ensuring a seamless flow of work.
Ali is one of the world’s youngest SAFe Program Consultant Trainer (SPCT), and an experienced trainer in various other Agile frameworks. For over 1.5 decade Ali has been involved in finding Agile ways of working for environments that do not directly jump to mind when talking about Agile. Agile working has proven to be beneficial and is seeping into non-software environments. Starting with applying Agile in the pharmaceutical industry Ali has proven to be strong in contextualizing the principles of short-cycled development, early risk reduction, and building quality in for a more predictable delivery of value. With that, the last years Ali supported (hardware) engineering companies in finding their own (scaled) agile way of working. Ali is an excellent trainer that connects the context of its participants with the principles of the (scaled) Agile Way of Working. By providing training, understanding and tweaking development processes, and coaching people from different backgrounds.
Pop up in my job: Finding agility within mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing engineering is my secret trick to work with brilliant engineers. Engineers who went into Physical Product Engineering because they wanted to design intelligent, beautiful solutions to complex engineering challenges. However, the engineers are getting stuck in an increase of overhead due to bureaucracy, slow organizational processes, and work overload due to an increased demand or increased product portfolio to be associated with. My job has been to find a modus operandi to get back efficiency, workload reduction, and team stability. This has given the engineers, project leads, and integrators the structures to become effective again, and has given me the opportunity to learn from smart specialists two design our collective future.
